LAYING A COBBLED DRIVEWAY IN WALSALL
Kirk Yates Building was tasked to lay a cobbled driveway in Walsall, after a previous third party contractor installation had gone wrong. They had misconfigured the fall away to the entrance and the front kerbs were too high, which was causing rain water to drain into the property instead of outwards.
Our job was to break up the driveway and remove the cobbled stones installed by the previous contractor, then correct the fall away (including the area underneath the gates), and then lay the cobbled driveway with associated border and kerb stones to the correct heights. Due to the accuracy and high quality of our works we were subsequently asked to carry out further modifications to the property.

Breaking up the driveway installed by the previous contractor. The front kerbs were supposed to be 25mm lower than the bottom of the gates, but they were higher, so rain water was falling inwards instead of outwards.
