SELF-BUILD HOUSE IN PELSALL

Below are photos from our bricklaying work on a four bedroom self-build house in Pelsall, in the West Midlands. Our Kirk Yates Building team first laid blue engineering bricks to the existing footings up to DPC level. Then we installed the roadstone sub-base and concrete slab.

Next we took the walls, consisting of medium dense blockwork inner skin to rockwool insulation to brickwork outer skin, up to wall plate, and finally returned after the roofing installation to finish the detailed brickwork cut-ups (referred to as hit and miss design using one blue engineering brick). During the building works we also created brick on edge sills and soldier courses to finish the openings, installed steels for the joists and laid the underground pipework.
